Join our online community for a three-month study as we explore the book "How to be an Adult" by David Richo
This will be a great opportunity to learn and grow with others as we develop our relational skills!
Mondays from 5 to 6 pm Central time starting on April 20th via Zoom!
The heroic journey of personal transformation is not for the faint of heart. It is the deeply felt longing of the soul to overcome the challenges of unmet needs, brave the turbulent waters of emotional neglect, and navigate with perseverance the call to adulthood. In this workshop, we will dive deeply into some great content from the book "How to be an Adult". With this brief text we will explore such topics as assertiveness skills, fear, anger, and guilt. We will also discuss self-esteem and personal boundaries as well as intimacy, the ego, the shadow self, and unconditional love. This journey promises to be insightful!
We hope this small group experience will be a welcome catalyst to facilitate your personal growth.

Quote from Dr. James Wilder
“Another culprit that leaks joy is unresolved trauma. From the brain’s perspective, trauma happens anytime we suffer alone. Suffering turns into trauma when we are unable to process our suffering with God and other people."

"We confuse caring with controlling because we don't know how to allow others the dignity of being themselves."
How Al-Anon Works, page 46

"So I speak to my heartbroken soul, Take courage...
My deep need calls out to the deep kindness of your love. Your waterfall of weeping sent waves of sorrow over my soul, carrying me away, cascading over me like a thundering cataract.
All through the day Yahweh has commanded his endless love to pour over me.
So I say to my soul, "Don't be discouraged. Don't be disturbed. For I know my God will break through for me."
Then I'll have plenty of reasons to praise him all over again. Yes, he is my saving grace!"
